Product Management Director ref: J672

Job Description: 

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Management Director has arisen. You will be responsible for driving a team of Product Managers for our client's global solution. You will possess a unique blend of business process understanding and the technical understanding of how a solution looks today and how it can be transferred into the digital age, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You will partner with peers and other departments to deliver innovations for the client's products and services. You will spend time in the market to understand the problems and find innovative solutions. You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the enhancement and innovation of globalisation technologies for core services.
  • Manage a small team of highly skilled Product Managers. 
  • Be a key contact for Development and other Product Manager / Product Owner for all product questions around the client's solution.
  • Provide guidance on individual solution strategies for customer business processes.
  • Work closely with global departments to ensure alignment on strategy, requirements and deliverables.
  • Provide vision and leadership for products, accomplishments, and challenges. 
  • Responsible for creating business cases for major features and new products, in close collaboration with Product Portfolio Management.
  • Manage customer focus groups.  

Qualifications

Education, Experience & Training required:

  • 10+ years in Product/Program Management roles – experience in Business Development, Sales or Strategic Planning a plus.
  • 7+ years Management experience.
  • Knowledgeable in SaaS is a requirement.
  • Batchelors degree required, MBA preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Job Specific Specialised Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills – able to motivate and drive your team, but also other product areas without direct authority over those teams.
  • Extremely resourceful – leveraging all resources both internal and externally to drive business performance.
  • Extremely strong product management skills.
  • Able to identify risks in business performance and segment specific initiatives, define mitigation strategies/contingency plans, arbitrate collaboration and comprise amongst the various cross-functional teams and effectively escalate critical risks & recommendations to Executive Leadership.
  • Ability to work effectively in matrix organisations collaborating with both Development and Product teams.
  • Independent and strategic thinker requiring minimal supervision for decision-making and resolution of business performance obstacles and conflicts.
  • SaaS industry experience and global business experience required.
  • Experience developing strategic business plans, pro forma financials.
