Technical Pre-Sales Consultant – Permanent – London

Our client is a true market leader in providing leading software solutions to corporates and is looking for a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant to join their growing team from their prime London offices.


  • To work as an integral part of the technical and sales team providing Pre-Sales support for the Sales function within the business.
  • Providing Technical knowledge, Solution Design and Bid Support as well as delivering ERP solutions.
  • The successful candidate will be joining the UK based team of sales and Technical professionals, supporting their global sales teams from all regional offices.

Job Description:

  • The Technical Pre-Sales Consultant will support company’s sales team through functional & technical presentations of their ERP solution to prospective and existing clients.
  • The role is varied with some office based time, and working out on client site and at events & seminars, engaging in client discovery sessions to design and deliver technical demonstrations of ERP software.  

Essential Skills:

  • Proven success in Pre-Sales
  • Solid understanding of business processes and how to relate them to software capability
  • Successful history in pre-Sales 
  • Experience in building rapport with all levels of management.
  • Experience with Security products such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection etc. would be beneficial
  • Good understanding of LAN technologies including Cloud Hosting and Data Centres.
  • Experience of creating network designs and bespoke customer solutions based on a set of requirements.
  • Able to produce High Level designs and detailed statement of works to document specific details associated with implementation and overall in-life operation of the solutions that have been proposed.
  • Have an ability to map technical solutions to customer needs/business objectives.
  • Able to create and deliver technical presentations to end customers.
  • Attend external Pre-Sales meetings with the sales teams and customers and help identify technical, infrastructure and configuration needs based on the requirements.
  • Provide internal Pre-Sales support for the Account Managers, Sales Academy and Sales Support teams.
  • Be accountable for designing & implementing bespoke and sometimes complex technical designs & solutions including migration and testing.
  • Create High Level Design and input into Low Level Design documentation packs.
  • Work with Sales team, Bid Management and channel partners to provide responses for technical RFI/RFP questions.
  • Provide a practical and clear ‘interface’ between Technical, Sales, Delivery and product management to ensure that the correct solution is sold / delivered to the end customer.
