Account Manager - Online B2B Travel ref: J380

Job Description: 

My client, a market leader, is looking for an Account Manager to join their established and successful team.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading brand in the online travel space, offering a suite of products that serve businesses of all sizes.  The Account Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key clients to help achieve ambitious goals and revolutionise the Business Travel Market.  This exciting opportunity is a highly autonomous role where the Account Manager will be required to manage clients effectively, assess commercial activities and provide unique strategies to help retain valued clients.

You’ll need to bring an entrepreneurial drive, strong commercial acumen, sharp negotiation and relationship management skills and an appetite for complex problem solving.



  • Develop strong commercial relationships with senior decision-makers and stakeholders within the client business
  • Use commercial acumen to identify business opportunities and take a consultative approach to working with our clients to grow the existing business
  • Recommend and implement strategies to deliver value to our clients
  • Provide technical guidance of business products used by the client
  • Negotiate new contracts
  • Influence change within the client to deliver financial and operational efficiencies to clients on their rail travel spend
  • Help shape strategy and product roadmap by delivering insight into customer needs, competitive dynamics and market trends 



  • Experience in partnership, client or account management within an e-commerce or tech oriented environment, ideally in a B2B capacity
  • Strong commercial acumen demonstrated through the ability to drive commercial opportunities with the right balance of tactical and strategic thinking
  • Experience in structuring, negotiating and managing complex partnerships and commercial agreements
  • Strong stakeholder management expertise with proven ability to navigate and influence multiple stakeholders at the highest levels within complex organisational structures
  • Well-developed project management skills
  • An ability to work independently while understanding when to make decisions solo or seek further inputs from key stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Advanced MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel) skills mandatory
  • General understanding of technology / e-commerce businesses desired
  • Results-oriented and strong sense of customer ownership
