Account Manager - Travel Technology ref: J484

Job Description: 

Exciting opportunity for a B2B Account Manager with travel-tech background to join a truly global market leader in providing travel tech.

Based from west London, you will lead the definition, selection and execution of partnerships; identification of market and business development opportunities; integration with products as part of an overall partner solution; establishment of commercial alliances that enable increased distribution and IT sales; negotiation of commercial terms; all of which is summarized by the definition and execution of overall Account Development Plans.

Main responsibilities

  • Assess third party requests based on the established commercial policy
  • Assess business opportunity and perform profitability analysis
  • Gain internal support and obtain senior management approvals
  • Negotiate commercial conditions and partnership commitments
  • Define and maintain formal account development plans
  • Identify growth opportunities and develop business with accounts
  • Coordinate commercial actions with sales team for strategic partners
  • Handle requests from the contracted third parties throughout the lifecycle of their applications.
  • Act as the primary commercial point of contact and manage escalations
  • Track contracted third party performance and payment of agreed fees
  • Facilitate the third party’s access the partner program benefits manage contract renewals or terminations
  • Document and maintain account management processes
  • Produce third party business reporting
  • Contribute to partner Network Operation

Job Holder Profile

Education

  • University degree in business or Engineering or equivalent.
  • MBA or equivalent an advantage.

Relevant work experience

  • Extensive professional experience, including relevant positions in Product Management, Business Development or Project Management.
  • Experience in Strategy Consulting firm an advantage

Business Understanding

  • Knowledge of the travel technology organization and GDS systems
  • Knowledge of the travel industry and key travel IT players
  • Knowledge of travel Web Services
