Partner Manager - Travel Technology ref: J455

Job Description: 

Our client is a  global travel tech provider and are looking for a Business Development Manager to accelerate our client success, they are looking for a highly motivated, energetic and dynamic individual who has the desire and determination to manage existing portfolio of strategic supplier partners as well as actively seek and develop new strategic partnerships.

The main focus of this role is to manage existing and new partner relationships to ensure maximum value is achieved for the business. The role includes working with and identifying partner opportunities across B2B Travel, Expense, Payment, VAT related partners.

Main responsibilities:

Manage the partner ecosystem, ensure a close alignment agreement between organisations and work towards mutual objectives and KPIs. Actively engage with new potential partner organisations to expand the ecosystem with a close eye on potential revenue opportunities. Engagement of direct sales forces, joint collaborations on sales opportunities and joint marketing effort.

  • Business Development
  • Identify new strategic partner opportunities / revenue potential
  • Creation of joint business plans
  • Ensure execution of partner business plans and contracts o Coordinate internal teams actions (marketing, sales, services, product)
  • prepare and hold business review meetings / calls with partners
  • Train & Certify partner commercial teams on value proposition where appropriate
  • Negotiation of commercial terms and contracts
  • Partner Relationship Management o follow-up on support escalations, service requests (including paid engagements)
  • Ensure Partners achieve their SLA as per each contract
  • Provide pre-sales resource to support on appropriate opportunities
  • Ensure regular planning calls take places (product, service, sales)
  • Ensure reporting and partner revenue is up to date
  • Regularly report
  • Build and maintain thorough knowledge of all products, upgrades, upcoming revisions, functionality, configuration etc.
  • Keeping informed and up to date on industry key topics, industry developments
  • Provide input on requirements/concerns to Product Management & Product Marketing teams as requested
  • Assist at trade shows, user conferences, etc. as requested
  • Interacts with partners, sales, marketing and external customers
  • Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies.

Ideal background:

  • Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Travel Tech related experience preferred
  • Background in partner management and/or business development.
  • Strategic thinking and demonstrated experience in leading new partner development including business case development, planning,
  • High degree of commercial awareness and negotiation
  • Excellent working knowledge of B2B Travel distribution, Expense and/or B2B Payment landscape preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills o Fluent English essential
  • Fluent French preferred
  • Further European languages are valuable
