Account Manager - Travel-tech

​We have a super exciting opportunity for an Account Manager with a B2B travel-tech background to join a UK travel-tech company based in EMEA, preferably in the Middle East.

The primary purpose of the role:

"As an Account Manager, you will manage the commercial activity within a portfolio of Airlines and travel companies."

Account Management Strategies

  • Maintaining individual account plans initially created with BDM (and maintained annually)

  • to identify target account growth opportunities and strategies to convert

  • Understand business strategic objectives and develop accounts to meet these.

  • Maintaining an in-depth understanding of the customer portfolio to help identify

  • commercial opportunities (upsell/cross-sell/change requests) and plan sales strategies accordingly

Customer Relationships and Account Growth

  • Maintaining excellent long-term relationships with customers

  • Extending contacts and relationships internally with customers, identifying opportunities for

  • expansion into other functions/departments

  • Working with the Marketing and Telesales teams to provide ideas for content to drive new leads

  • Working with the Marketing team to use customers for Press announcements and case studies.

Product and Project Delivery

  • Developing and maintaining an excellent understanding of product capabilities

  • to ensure that they are accurately presented to customers

  • Collaborating with the Product team to develop “go to market” plans for new product

  • introductions to customer portfolio

  • Presenting the company's capabilities and product portfolio face-to-face and remotely to customers

The ideal candidate:

  • Experienced at building relationships and growing accounts with a global

  • customer base

  • Positive, confident and resilient and have good cultural awareness

  • I have the tenacity and skills to create and grow opportunities even with accounts that appear to have none.

  • Deep understanding of metrics and can use them to identify where

  • performance improvements can be made to improve results.

  • Experience managing B2B travel tech accounts at an enterprise and/or group level.

  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and consultative sales skills.

  • Have a passion for the travel industry.

  • A great communicator at all levels of a business with excellent written and verbal skills.
