Business Analyst - Travel-Tech

Our client, a global travel-tech company, plays a pivotal role in enhancing customer service for airlines worldwide. As they continue to expand, they are in search of a Business Analyst with a deep understanding of travel-tech backend/Reservation Systems, PSS, PNR, and or GDS.

During project delivery and commercial proposal stages, as well as the transition at project initiation, you will work as a Business Analyst within the Delivery team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining expert knowledge in platform functionality and new developments

  • Understanding the airline business needs and processes

  • Understanding internal Product business needs and processes

  • Leading client workshops

  • Leading internal Product analysis and definition

  • Requirements validation, both for client projects and internal Product projects

  • Creating documentation to support the commercial and delivery processes

  • Leading estimation sessions with stakeholders

  • Collaborating with Commercial and Delivery teams to understand, prioritise and manage multiple projects

  • Collaborating with the Product team to understand objectives, requirements, and priorities

  • Ensuring a smooth transition from commercial proposal to project team delivery

  • Providing support to the Delivery team as required during project delivery

  • Identifying and implementing process improvements 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in customer software/IT solution business analysis

  • Travel industry background with knowledge of airline commercial systems such as reservations systems, PSS and GDS and their component parts

  • Ability and willingness to travel overseas for client meetings

  • Proven ability to lead discussions with customers and internal stakeholders

  • Functional/technical understanding of software applications

  • Proven experience in eliciting requirements

  • Proactively guide and support stakeholders (internal and external) to the most appropriate solution in line with product evolution

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Organisational skills, with the ability to take on multiple duties
