​A global travel-tech company is seeking a Software Engineer with experience in Travel GDS/PSS systems. 

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a high-quality, continuous improvement, and product-focused mindset who enjoys working as a team. 

The Role

As a Software Development Senior Engineer, you will work with a full-stack engineering team, transforming the platform to software as a service and developing next-gen products and capabilities for the Airline e-commerce marketplace.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Technically hands-on, including estimating, designing, coding, and debugging.

• Providing third-line engineering support to customers.

• Mentoring Junior members of the team.

• Working closely with the quality and performance engineers.

Technical Skills / Knowledge/ Experience:

Essential:

• Airline GDS or PSS integration experience using any ONE of the following:

• Sabre, Amadeus, SITA, Travelport, Galileo, Worldspan, Apollo, Abacus, Pegasus, TravelSky, Radixx, Navitaire or a bespoke airline PSS / backend system where you can demonstrate strong knowledge of PNR’s and complex flight booking structures.

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Java development, Web Services, and object-oriented principles.

• Solid experience in the development of highly available and scalable applications.

• Ability to work independently and also as part of a team.

• Ability to learn independently.

Desirable:

• Degree in Computing or Science.

• A good understanding of Agile principles whilst working with Scrum Teams.

• Atlassian suite of products bitbucket/Jira/Confluence.
